I was so proud of the amazing projects brought in Thursday! There is a slide show below of all of the student work brought in. It is obvious a lot of thought was put into the projects. My favorite part were the conversations students had as they decided upon there colonies that had the strongest government, most peaceful society or the government that would have the largest impact on society. I heard students say, "What type of government structure did you decide on, why?" "If you grow candy, what will your people actually eat?" and my favorite, "Well, you say here that you are a republic, but then you say there are no laws. Don't the people in a republic vote on the laws they would have?" So thoughtful! Love the discussions this unit of inquiry has brought to the surface.
