Math--Dividing Fractions Mini-Inquiry
We have learned how to divide fractions through a mini-inquiry unit. Students chose the modality (area model, manipulatives, bar model-Singapore/equation, or number-line) to learn how to divide fractions. They worked in small groups to investigate their inquiry question. We used the Scientific Method to take action, this allowed us to be organized in our problem solving approaches. With the help of iPads, research packets supplied to each student and other student models, groups created lessons to teach the class. This had many benefits. It allowed me to facilitate questions and work in small groups to help aid in understanding. Your children were amazing inquirers!
